Jersey sits in the Bay of St Malo - just 14 miles (22 km) from the French coast and 85 miles (137 km) south of the English coast. For an island that is only 5 miles (8 km) long and 9 miles (14.5 km) wide, there is a huge variety of walking to enjoy.

Set between Dartmoor and the Devon coast, Dartington is a perfect centre from which to explore this area. To the south we have the south west coast with its many beautiful beaches, as well as the river Dart that leads down to Dartmouth. The Fife peninsula sits just above Edinburgh and below Dundee and is a delightfully scenic destination with plenty to offer the visitor. There are miles of golden sand beaches, traditional harbours, quaint villages and a stunning coastal path. Add to that the hidden gem which is the Isle of May and the historic university town of St Andrews and you have the makings of a fabulous holiday.

Enjoy a relaxing break bird watching in Flamborough, Yorkshire. This section of the East Yorkshire coast is an internationally important area for breeding birds and is a staging post for migrants to rest and refuel. There should be plenty of puffins and gannets around at this time of the year.
