Dogs are welcome on some of the guided day walks so please check with us before booking. Some walks are more suitable than others due to stiles, ground nesting birds, sheep and cattle. Thank you.

Peak District: Kinder Scout Madwoman's Stones    

Grade: Moderate

Thursday 14 September 10am – 4.30pm

An off the beaten track exploration of Kinder Scout, the Peak District's highest point. Heading east, we will see few people especially as we head into the interior of the plateau.

Kinder Scout West: Kinder Downfall Peak District

Guided Walk   Grade: Moderate to Challenging

Friday 15 September 10am – 4.30pm

A 10 mile guided walk to the west side of Kinder Scout taking in the waterfall at Kinder Downfall and the tors of Kinder Gates. Partly off path across the peat moorland of the plateau.


Peak District Christmas: Stanage Edge, Robin Hood's Cave, Higger Tor   

Grade: Low Moderate

Christmas Day, 25 December , Monday 10am – 3.30pm

Explore some classic Dark Peak scenery and a hidden gem on this wonderful Peak District walk with local guide, Rachel Bolton. Stunning views across the surrounding hills.

Grade: Low Moderate

Boxing Day, 26 December , Tuesday 10am – 3.30pm

Join Rachel for this varied walk from the Fox House taking in an iron age hill fort, a historic chapel and ancient oak woodlands.

Gentleman Jack - Shibden Hall Visit and Anne Lister's Halifax Guided Tour

Join our knowledgeable local guide Rachel Whitbread for this fascinating insight into the life and times of Halifax's Anne Lister - diarist, landowner, businesswoman, mountaineer and lesbian. Rachel is the daughter of Helena Whitbread, decoder of the diary and Halifax resident. Visit to Shibden Hall, Anne's ancestral home, included.
