Curbar, Calver and the River Derwent Peak District Guided Walk

Thursday 18 November 10am – 2.30pm

A leisurely 6 mile walk taking in the quaint Peak District villages below Baslow and Curbar Edge, followed by a return journey along the river. A beautiful stretch of woodland is particularly stunning in Autumn.

Peak District: Ringinglow, Ox Stones and Stanedge Pole

Guided Walk   Grade: Moderate

Tuesday 23 November, 10am - 3pm

An 8 mile guided walk on the lesser known paths around Stanage Edge. Expect great views and quiet tracks.


Derwent Edge and Lost Lad, Peak District

Grade: Moderate

Wednesday 1 December: 10am – 3pm

A walk from Derwent reservoir up onto Derwent Edge with its extensive views and fascinating range of gritsone tors. The walk descends via the viewpoint at Lost Lad to the reservoir below.

Mam Tor Peak District Classic Guided Walk   Grade: Low Moderate   Dogs Welcome

A Peak District classic setting out from the lovely village of Castleton to Mam Tor and a section of the Great Ridge.

Stanage Edge, Robin Hood's Cave and Higger Tor Peak District

A Peak District classic setting out from the lovely village of Hathersage to the impressive Stanage Edge above.

Win Hill and Ladybower Guided Walk, Peak District

Grade: Moderate

Thursday 9 December: 10am – 3pm

Win Hill dominates the skyline and the views from the top are simply stunning. The climb is well worth the effort for the extensive views along the Hope and Derwent Valleys.

Peak District Millstones, Rocky Outcrops and the Longshaw Estate

Grade: Moderate

Wednesday 15 December 10am – 3pm

A varied 8.5 mile guided walk taking in some of the iconic features of this part of the Peak District including remnants of its historic past. There are dramatic quarries and edges, abandoned millstones plus an Iron Age hill fort. Add to that a beautiful silver birch woodland, stretches of moorland and the gentler scenery of a National Trust estate and you have the makings of a memorable day out.

Eyam Guided Walk, Peak District: The Plague Village and The Quiet Dales

Grade: Moderate

Thursday 16 December: 9.30am – 3.30pm

A varied guided walking from Eyam through the quieter dales to the south of the village. Eyam is well known for the part it played in the plague of 1665 when the people of the village self isolated in order to prevent the disease from spreading.

Anne Lister's York - A Guided Walking Tour

A new tour for Gentleman Jack fans this time around York and including the places Anne visited and the church where she and Ann Walker were betrothed.

Enjoy a stroll through the grounds of magnificent Chatsworth House before heading over to the unique village of Edensor with its amazing range of architecture and links to John F Kennedy.

Kinder Scout West: Kinder Downfall Peak District

A 10 mile guided walk to the west side of Kinder Scout taking in the waterfall at Kinder Downfall and the tors of Kinder Gates. Partly off path across the peat moorland of the plateau.

Gentleman Jack - Shibden Hall Visit and Anne Lister's Halifax Guided Tour

Join our knowledgeable local guide Rachel Whitbread for this fascinating insight into the life and times of Halifax's Anne Lister - diarist, landowner, businesswoman, mountaineer and lesbian. Rachel is the daughter of Helena Whitbread, decoder of the diary and Halifax resident. Visit to Shibden Hall, Anne's ancestral home, included.

Peak District: Kinder Scout Madwoman's Stones

An off the beaten track exploration of Kinder Scout, the Peak District's highest point. Heading east, we will see few people especially as we head into the interior of the plateau.

Peak District: Classic Kinder Scout The Slow Way

Join this slower paced walk on a classic 8 mile Kinder Scout route taking in Jacob's Ladder and Kinder Low..


Chatsworth Park, Edensor, Calton Lees Guided Walk Peak District

An 8.5 mile walk exploring Chatsworth Park and the surrounding area with splendid views of the iconic Chatsworth House on the banks of the River Derwent.

Peak District Moors: Eyam and Offerton Guided Walk

Grade: Moderate

Date TBC 9.30am – 3pm

An 8.5 mile walk from Hathersage to explore the high moorland to the south. Extensive views across the Hope Valley and beyond.

Eyam Peak District Guided Walk: The Plague Village and The Dark /White Peak

Grade: Moderate

This guided walk from the plague village of Eyam covers a variety of terrain typical of both the Dark Peak and the White Peak.

Charlotte Bronte in the Peak District

Join us as we explore the historic Peak District village of Hathersage and its fascinating links to Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Bronte visited Hathersage in 1845 and it clearly made a lasting impression on her, providing inspiration for a variety of locations in her novel, Jane Eyre, first published in 1847.
