Our setting in the heart of Dartmoor National Park is a perfect base for this moderate grade walking holiday. The walks will take in the surrounding area, from the high moors where ponies and cattle range freely, to deep wooded combes where icy clear rivers flow over granite boulders. We will also enjoy clambering over some of the massive granite tors that make Dartmoor such a special National Park.

Brimpts Farm has been a Duchy of Cornwall tenant farm since 1307 and a number of the traditional granite barns have been converted to provide comfortable bespoke accommodation for groups. There’s even a hot tub to enjoy after our day walks. With stunning views over the River Dart valley the farm offers peaceful, comfortable and relaxing accommodation with traditional homemade meals and a small bar.

Price: £510 twin shared ensuite / £590 single occupancy ensuite Price includes: 4 nights' full board accommodation (packed lunch); transport to walks as required Not included: personal expenses; insurance
Walks of up to 10 miles on a mixture of paths and sometimes rough ground and uneven moorland. The pace will be moderate with opportunities to stop for photos, refreshment breaks, etc. Whatever the grade we aim not to rush past the scenery! Walks will involve ascents and descents for which you will need to be moderately fit.
Brimpts Farm is a working farm and the accommodation is in a converted barn. The accommodaiton has beem designed for large groups so many of the rooms will have multiple beds. For our needs, the rooms will be mainly single occupancy. The furnishings are basic but, that said, all is clean and our hosts very welcoming. There is a hot tub on site so come prepared for a refreshing dip after walking.
