Frensham Common, Surrey Guided Walk Grade: Leisurely to Moderate
Our walk takes us through an area which well illustrates the varied nature of Surrey’s landscape. Starting at Frensham Little Pond, the path passes through coppiced woodland, an area of forestry reminiscent of parts of Scotland and heather covered common land. The return leg, along the ridge of Kettlebury Hill, gives wide views northwards to Guildford and beyond. A fairly gentle walk through the best of Surrey’s countryside.
Grade: Leisurely to Moderate 8miles with 100m of ascent. The walk will be at a leisurely pace, taking in the sights as we go.
The walk is led by experienced guide Barbara Hamilton who lives in the heart of London and has a wealth of local knowledge.
