Set in the heart of the Lake District, Grasmere has superb access to some classic Lake District peaks. There are wonderful walks in all directions with the Langdales, Helvellyn and the Fairfield Horseshoe all nearby. We can walk out to Helm Crag (aka the lion and the lamb), Easedale tarn, Sergeant Man and High Raise. Our itinerary will be flexible according to the conditions at the time but will take in the best and most scenic trails.

A good level of fitness is required for this one as you will be tackling some big peaks which, whilst mainly on good paths, have elements of loose ground plus some basic scrambling for short sections.

We will be staying at the Glenthorne Guest House, set in its own tranquil grounds and known for its warm welcome and good food. The holiday is full board so once you’re there you will spend very little.

Twin Shared Ensuite (sharing with another person in the group) £650 / Single Ensuite £750 / Single with Shared Bathroom £700 Single Occupancy Ensuite - please request availability. Price includes: 5 nights' full board accommodation / guided walks each day Not included: Transport to venue / drinks / personal expenses / insurance
Walks of up to 12 miles (although may be considerably shorter depending on terrain) on a mixture of paths and rough mountain terrain. There are some big ascents and descents and short sections of scrambling may be involved. You will need to have a good level of fitness for this holiday and be prepared for all weather.
Glenthorne Guest House is a lovely venue, set back from the village of Grasmere in its own tranquil grounds. There is plenty of space to relax both inside and out and it is only a few minutes' walk from the village centre. As well as being a lovely guesthouse , it is also a Quaker centre with a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
