We have exclusive use of the beautiful Haworth Youth Hostel for our first Her Out on a Hill lesbian break. With wild moors and splendid views this is a popular destination for walkers and we will be covering the best possible routes.

There are 2 different grades of walk each day, giving you the choice of a shorter walk at a gentler pace or a longer walk taking in some of the rougher moorland tracks. Both groups will visit the locations much loved by the Bronte sisters and made famous by them through their novels.

The hostel is located just outside Haworth and is set in lovely private grounds. We will have our own cook on site preparing delicious, wholesome evening meals – plus sweet treats for afternoon tea. Breakfast and packed lunch are on a help yourself basis.

Please note that due to the nature of the accommodation, if you request a twin shared room but there is nobody to share with, you will need to pay the single supplement. You will also be given the option to cancel.

Twin Shared Dorm £485 Single Occupancy Dorm £585 Price Includes: 4 nights' full board accommodation; afternoon tea and cakes; choice of 2 guided walks each day Not Included: travel to Haworth; personal expenses; insurance Please note: If you opt for a twin shared room and there is nobody to share with the single occupancy rate will be applied. Haworth Youth Hostel, Haworth BD228RT. We have exclusive use of this lovely old youth hostel, set in private grounds. The hostel sleeps 89 but there will only be around 20 of us so there will be plenty of space. The dorms are simple and of a standard to be expected at a hostel - clean but no frills.
There are 2 grades on offer each day; Leisurely with Madeline our natural history expert and moderate with Clare. Leisurely walks will be up to a maximum of 6 miles at a slower pace so that you can enjoy the surroundings to the full. Moderate walks will be up to 10 miles on a mixture of paths and sometimes rough ground and uneven moorland. Expect a few ups and downs but nothing overly strenuous.
Clare Kelly owns Her on a Hill and has been a walking guide for over 20 years. More information. Madeline Holloway is a natural history expert and freelance ecologist with a hugely impressive knowledge of birds and nature. She has been a walking guide for over 12 years and her enthusiasm for her subject is infectious. Be prepared to end up on your hands and knees magnifying glass in hand!
