Lake District, Borrowdale Valley and Derwentwater Grade: Low Moderate
£635.00
The Borrowdale Valley is reputed to be the most beautiful valley in England. Running from the shores of Derwentwater to the Honister Pass, there is much to admire along the way. Surrounded by imposing high peaks, we will explore the lower reaches of the valley on this low moderate guided walking holiday.
We will head for Castle Crags with its fine views over Derwentwater where we will also spend a day exploring. Cat Bells which overlooks the lake is another possibility worth the effort for the 360 degree views. We will also follow some of the gullies up towards the higher reaches of the area – there is high drama to be had even at these lower levels.
We will be staying at the Glaramara Hotel which has been transformed over the last few years into an extremely comfortable hotel with an excellent menu and bar. The holiday is full board so once you’re there you will spend very little.
