October is a great time to visit Mallorca, with average temperatures of 18C – 22C, a daily average of 6 hours of sunshine, summer over, crowds gone. It is the perfect place to enjoy a bit of autumn sunshine before winter sets in.

This relaxed sightseeing and leisurely walking holiday is based in the pretty resort of Port de Sóller in north west Mallorca. It is a picturesque, small coastal village which has become well known and popular particularly due to its historic tram, large bay, with protected harbour, and scenic surroundings.

On most days we will combine walking with sightseeing and the longest walks will be up to 5 miles taken at a very leisurely pace. Our walks will take us to lovely beaches, coastal viewpoints, through olive, orange and lemon groves and along well maintained tracks. On one day, we may head to the beautiful Alfabia Gardens with its tropical plants, historic house and wonderful cafe all with the stunning Tramuntana mountains as a backdrop.

There will be plenty of time too, to soak up the sun, sample local foods and wines and just relax in good company. There is a free day on this holiday when you can either do your own thing in Port de Soller or head to Palma to visit the capital city at your own pace.

Hotel Eden Nord is a 3* hotel with a swimming pool set between the mountains and the sea. All rooms are spacious, simple and clean. There is a bar, gym and restaurant on site.

The walks are graded as leisurely and are taken at a suitable pace for the group. The longest walk is around 5 miles and there is some ascent and descent most days up to around 200m.

The nearest airport is Palma in Mallorca and there will be a private transfer meeting certain flights. We will aim to provide a transfer for flight arriving at a similar time from at least London and Manchester. Flights TBC.
