A relaxing, “get away from it all”, break on the edge of the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park and right in the heart of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Beauty. We will be taking leisurely strolls and enjoying the surrounding coast and countryside without the need to rush. This is a wonderful area with far reaching views both across the Broads and the sea. The footpaths follow the many waterways and explore quaint villages.

We will visit Hickling Broad, the largest broad in the National Park and enjoy typical “broadland” scenery – expanses of water, fringed with reeds. On one day we may visit How Hill with its Secret Garden packed with colour and wonder. We can also take in the Broads from here with a fine example of a skeleton windpump. From our lovely base in Winterton- on -Sea, we will head north along the coast where we hope to see the grey and harbour seal colony towards Horsey. This is amongst the most accessible sites in the world to see seals so fingers crossed that we will enjoy some fabulous sightings. A real highlight.

We will be based at the very welcoming Mill Farm Eco Barn, luxury self catering accommodaiton in a secluded location. The spacious and modern open plan living area contains a lounge with a wood burning stove, providing a warm glow to our winter evenings. There’s also a separate games barn should we feel energetic of an evening. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day out in the fresh air.

Norfolk Broads and Coast 2021

The walking on this holiday is easy going and virtually flat throughout. We will be walking along the coast both on the beach and the coast path; we will be following waterways and walking through nature reserves with few if any gradients involved.
Mill Farm Eco Barn is a luxury, modern eco barn set in a secluded spot with long views over open country and towards the sea. The barn is spacious with an open plan living area downstairs. A wood burning fire gives a warm glow and there is a separate games barn with pool table, etc. All rooms are either ensuite or have a private bathroom next door.
