Photography Workshop: Landscape, Trees and Plants Padley Gorge
Join photographer Fran Halsall for an afternoon workshop at Padley Gorge, the Dark Peak’s most dramatic woodland. Highlights will include the autumnal colours of beech, oak and wych elm, all set against a backdrop of mossy green boulders, and the many centuries-old coppiced oaks. It is the perfect location to explore a variety of approaches to woodland photography, including tree portraits and macro details.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, although it is expected that you will at least have some familiarity with how your camera works. Please bring the camera instruction manual with you in any case. Digital notes on camera functionality, lighting and composition will be available to download upon completion of the course.
The walk is around 2.5 miles. Please note that the day involves some uneven footpaths and sloping, rocky ground throughout.
Meeting Point: Grindleford Station Cafe. Parking available – £2 payable by card.
