Photography Workshop: Landscape, Trees and Plants Surprise View
Join photographer Fran Halsall for an afternoon workshop at the Longshaw Estate, exploring the contrasting moorland and woodland habitats. Closed canopy woodland planted with beech grows next to open moorland dotted with birch trees, which provides the opportunity to explore a variety of photographic approaches, from close-ups to wider vistas.
This workshop is suitable for all levels, although it is expected that you will at least have some familiarity with how your camera works. Please bring the camera instruction manual with you in any case. Digital notes on camera functionality, lighting and composition will be available to download upon completion of the course.
The workshop will cover around 2 miles in total. Although the route is mostly easy it does include moderate ascents and descents, and some rocky and potentially uneven paths.
Meeting point: Park and meet at Surprise View pay and display car park.
