This is a sighseeing and touring trip rather than a walking tour. When walks are offered during the stay they are optional. There is a lot of travelling mainly by road so a good level of stamina is required. Travelling through the extraordinary landscape is an important part of the holiday - not just a means of getting from A to B. We use Furgon 4 x4 vehicles with a high wheelbase, ample luggage space, and surround windows that make for comfortable travelling – the Furgon is perfect for the wild terrain of Mongolia. Having these larger vehicles means each vehicle has its own simple mobile kitchen and sunshade.
We will have a female Mongolian tour guide throughout the trip, a local male driver and many of our hosts are Mongolian women and their families. Clare Kelly
will be joining the trip as she really wants to see visit Mongolia.
