Christmas is a wonderful time to gather together for a walking holiday in the southern White Peak area of the Peak District. There are stunning limestone dales, the sheer edges towering skywards. There are endless views on top with a landscape of drystone walls as far as the eye can see. It is a popular area for walkers with places like Monsal Head viaduct and the quaint villages of Litton and Tideswell attracting many visitors year round.

We have exclusive use of Ravenstor Youth Hostel for our Christmas break. Set in the heart of the Peak District’s limestone dales, there are plenty of beautiful walks to choose from. We will have our own cook on site preparing delicious, wholesome evening meals – plus sweet treats for afternoon tea. Breakfast and packed lunch are on a help yourself basis.

Please note that due to the nature of the accommodation, if you request a twin shared room but there is nobody to share with, you will need to pay the sngle supplement. You will also be given the opiton to cancel.

Ravenstor Youth Hostel, Millers Dale, Buxton SK17 8SS. Set within 60 acres of beautiful grounds within the heart of the Peak District, YHA Ravenstor sits high above the River Wye between Bakewell and Buxton. We have exclusive use of the hostel which sleeps 67. There will only be around 16 of us so expect plenty of space. The dorms are simple and of a standard to be expected at a hostel - clean but no frills.
Walks of up to 10 miles on a mixture of paths and sometimes rough ground. The pace will be moderate with opportunities to stop for photos, refreshment breaks, etc. Whatever the grade we aim not to rush past the scenery! Walks will involve ascents and descents for which you will need to be moderately fit.
Your guide for this holiday is Clare Kelly who loves to guide in the Peak District, her local National Park.
