The Yorkshire Three Peaks Grade: Moderate
£650.00
Staying at the comfy and very welcoming Craven Arms on the edge of Giggleswick, each day we will climb one of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks – Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-Ghent. These are classic walks, the hills rising to just over 700 metres (2,300 feet), the views are fantastic and the limestone scenery full of interesting features. The walks allow us to also see the pretty Yorkshire villages of Ingleton, Clapham and Horton in Ribblesdale, with opportunities for refreshment at the end of each hike! A reasonable level of fitness is needed as the walks are each approx 9 miles with 450-550m ascent, but the pace will allow for plenty of breathers and time to admire the views. The final ½ day will allow for a gentle walk into Settle with time to explore this lovely Yorkshire town. This really is a classic exhilarating walking holiday, definitely one to blow away the lockdown blues!
