Explore a mixture of classic and lesser known Lake District peaks on this week long walking holiday to Coniston, a lovely village at the foot of the imposing Old Man of Coniston. There are many fabulous walks straight from the door and we will be taking in the best the area has to offer. There are a number of classic Wainwrights to choose from and we aim to take in Coniston Old Man, Swirl How and Wetherlam. Rachel who leads this holiday knows the Lake District really well and will be sure to choose the most inspiring routes which suit both the weather and the group.
The holiday is based at a beautiful, traditional Lake District house set over 3 floors. It is large, spacious and has a bright, airy feel. On site, we have our own cook, Vicky, who will prepare a hearty breakfast and 5 wholesome evening meals. – a welcome treat after a day in the mountains.
There is a rest day during the week but, as we are centre based, you can opt in and out of the walks according to your mood. The house really is a lovely space to enjoy.
