Haworth and Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire 2026 Grade: Moderate
£790.00
Based in Haworth, known as the home of the Brontes, this holiday takes in the wild moors around both Haworth and Hebden Bridge. Haworth with its cobbled streets and independent shops is a delightful base for this new walking holiday. And Hebden Bridge has a special, relaxed feel to it – home to artists, outdoor markets and small retail outlets, it is surrounded by the beautiful and wild Pennine hills and expansive moorland.
The moors and hills make for terrific walking. There are endless drystone walls, ancient packhorse paths, wooded valleys and wild moorlands. We will visit the iconic locations of Top Withens, long associated with Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights and Stoodley Pike, a monument which stands proud above Hebden Bridge.
Itinerary (subject to change) –  each walk will be between 8-10 miles, with 300-400 metres ascent/descent
Day 1Â Arrival day – there will be a short stroll around the town to explore the centre of Haworth before dinner.
Day 2  We head off direct from the door across the moors towards Top Withens for wide ranging views of the surrounding area.

Day 4 Today we head to Hebden Bridge and up to the imposing landmark of Stoodley Pike which stands at 400 metres and dominates the local landscape.
Day 5Â Â A shorter walk today takes us to nearby Oxenhope for a last blast of moorland air.
Walks are between 8 and 10 miles with around 300 / 400 metres of ascent. The tracks can be rocky, uneven and possibly muddy underfoot.
