The perfect opportunity to explore the Highlands with mountain guide, Rachel who knows the area well. Based in Inveraray, on the shore of Loch Fyne, we will have access to the surrounding mountains, including several Munroes and Corbetts. The itinerary will be kept flexible in order to get the best out of the weather and to suit the group. Possible day walks include the Cobbler, Ben Vane, Ben Cruchan and perhaps Beinn Ime, the highest Munro in the range at 1011m.

We have exclusive use of the lovely independent hostel at Inveraray which is on the western shore of  beautiful Loch Fyne. With 10 rooms available for single or twin use, we will have plenty of space to relax. The holiday is fully catered by our own cook, Vicky who will ensure a hearty breakfast and dinner await.

Walks of up to 9 miles on a mixture of paths and rough ground with considerable ascents/ descents on most days. The pace will be moderate but there will still be time to stop and enjoy the surroundings. A very good level of fitness will be required for the ascents and descents. You must feel comfortable walking in a high mountain environment.
We have sole use of the lovely Inveraray Hostel on teh shore of Loch Fyne. The hostel has 10 rooms and is set within private grounds only 2 minutes' walk from Inveraray.
Your guide for this holiday is Rachel Bolton, a fabulous leader who is compassionate and flexible. Rachel is a very safe pair of hands and a qualified Mountain Leader, a member of the Mountain Training Association and the British Mountaineering Council. She is passionalte about the outdoors and has extensive knowledge of the Lake District, Scotland and the Peak Dsitrict in particular. She holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and worked with children as a teacher and headteacher for nearly 30 years. She is also a qualified Alexander Technique teacher. Rachel is passionate about being in the outdoors walking, scrambling, winter mountaineering and climbing. She is currently working towards her Winter Mountain Leader qualification.
Inveraray Hostel, Dalmally Road, Inveraray, Argyll & Bute, PA328XD By Car: The hostel is just off the A83 around 1.5 hours north of Glasgow. There is off street parking at the accommodation. By Public Transport: There is a fairly regular bus service from Glasgow to Inverarary taking around 1 hour 45 mins.
