Join natural history guide Madeline for this bird watching holiday in ever popular Northumbria. The coast is simply stunning and there are many opportunities to see a variety of coastal birds including puffin, kittiwake, fulmar, gannet..the list goes on.

The holiday is based in Beadnell with great access to the coast. We hope to take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to get a closer look at the cliff nesting birdlife. It is a very special experience and a sight to behold due to the sheer number of birds nesting there. We will also head to Lindisfarne for the day which is host to a number of birds and a fascinatin island in its own right.

Single occupancy ensuite £690/ Twin Shared Ensuite £120 discount per person Please note:If there is nobody to share with, the single occupancy rate will apply. Price includes: 4 nights' B&B accommodation; 4 packed lunches; experienced natural history guide; boat trip to Farne Islands; transport to walks as required. Not included: Travel to Beadnell; evening meals (these will be arranged by your guide); personal expenses; travel insurance
Walks are up to 6 miles at a slow pace, stopping frequently to observe wildlife and nature. There are some ascents and descents on the holiday due to the nature of coastal walking but these will be kept to a minimum and taken at a leisurely pace.
We stay at a small family run motel style B&B with car parking directly outside your room. There is a cafe adjoining the rooms where breakfast is provided. The rooms are of a good standard and in an ideal location for an outdoor holiday. The staff are friendly and very welcoming.
Madeline Holloway is a natural history expert and freelance ecologist with a hugely impressive knowledge of birds and nature. She has been a walking guide for over 10 years and her enthusiasm for her subject is infectious. Be prepared to end up on your hands and knees magnifying glass in hand!
By train: The nearest station to Beadnell is Chathill. However, there is only 1 train per day so the next nearest is Alnmouth which is around 20 minutes away by taxi. A taxi costs around £35+ and we can organise a shared taxi by request at around 4pm. By car: Follow the A1(M) and A1 towards Beadnell. There is off road parking directly outside the rooms.
